  Stroud General Hospital News

'The commitment of NHS Gloucestershire to providing care closer to home including the development of its community hospitals has ensured that the residents in the Stroud Locality have a state of the art surgical service. The Trust has done this by providing 1.8 million pounds for the upgrade of Stroud General Hospital's theatre and endoscopy suites. The theatre suite is now operational. The endoscopy suite upgrade is nearing completion and will be opening shortly.

This development has secured the future of the hospital for its local population and will enable us to move forward into the future with confidence'

Stroud Maternity Hospital News
Work has now been completed at Stroud Maternity to upgrade the security, ensure that the Hospital is more accessible to those with a disability and to provide new facilities to help with infection control. This work has been funded by NHS Gloucestershire.

Michelle Poole, Head of Maternity at Gloucestershire Care Services, says:   “Stroud Maternity Hospital is a wonderful place to have a baby. These works have created an improved environment for staff, patients and visitors."
