We are very careful about how we use the money kindly donated to us and work in partnership with staff and patients to provide services and equipment that will make a real difference, not only in terms of treatment available but also to enhance the day to day lives of patients while they receive their treatment:-
The Friends purchase a wide range of advanced, state of the art equipment for diagnosis and treatment. This equipment supplements and enhances, in a very real way, equipment available through the NHS and greatly enhances the care provided at the Stroud Hospitals.
The Friends co-operate with the local NHS trusts in refurbishment and improvement schemes which are very beneficial to local people. Examples of which are the upgrading of patient areas at Stroud General and Stroud Maternity
The Friends provide a range of amenities important to patients, staff and visitors, such as Christmas trees and presents, toiletries and newspapers. |
